Thanks to Delia’s fan and fellow music-lover, Shaman, we got to go to a special show tonight:
It was a big deal for me to go to an event. I haven’t done a lot of things since way before pandemic (example: I’ve only gone to one movie since lockdown was lifted). And I would not have even considered going to this if it weren’t gifted to us.
I get really overwhelmed and anxious and have pretty much stopped doing a lot of “normal” activities (eating out, for example). Delia loves going to live music events and has gotten used to me not going with her, so it was an exceptional treat to receive this gift and have it pop up without a lot of advance notice so I couldn’t agonize over it for too long beforehand AND have it be someone I really wanted to see / hear live.
Anyway … I’m glad Delia still wants me to go to shows with her, but also understands why I rarely do.
