There’s something extra-wonderful about getting tacos for takout in winter. First walking around one of your favorite places to walk around while you’re waiting, even though it’s cold, wet and windy. Then feeling so lucky you’re holding all that hot food.
Driving home to your warm cozy bed and cuddling up together for lunch and a little television: rewatching Mad Men Season 7 (the last season), episode 4, “The Monolith”. Mad Men reminds me how many people eat out for lunch, and that I should not feel guilty about telling you we dine in bed. No drinking. No smoking. No bad service or loud table-neighbors.
The way hot food tastes even better when it’s all wrapped up snug in tin foil, and you unwrap it. Unwrapping hot food is better than unwrapping presents.
